Email is the most popular means of business communication in today’s world. We rely on our emails to receive our receipts, our airplane tickets, to schedule meetings, to forward important news or information and all sorts of daily things.
Yet, using email marketing seems like a lost tradition in some business areas. Most yoga studios will only send emails to promote an event or once the student has already stopped coming to class. By that point, the student has already lost interest in communicating; and meaningful engagement is hard to be reached. Sending out promotional material is great and very effective, but most yoga instructors are missing out on a great opportunity to use email as a powerful tool to connect.
Email marketing for yoga teachers can be a powerful business tool.
Email marketing is not going anywhere.
In fact, the DMA says email marketing has an ROI of 3800% and Mckinsey survey shows that email is 40 times more effective at acquiring new customers than Facebook or Twitter.
With Gmail, the most popular email platform worldwide reaching 1 billion users in 2016, we can safely say email usage is a strong as ever.
That does not mean going out there and sending anything is going to generate an impact, that’s just annoying. But reaching out with the appropriate message can translate into engaged new students and higher trial to paying students rates. It can also mean a better LTV (Life Time Value) for your yoga students if you can meaningfully connect and diminish students initial churn.
